Christmas in July | Virtual Retreat

We know summer is a great season in Canada but at the end of July, you may need a little break and want to spend some time indoors, out of the hot sun!  Connect with quilters with Dragons Heart Quilt Shop, Modern Blended Quilts, and Watergirl Quilt Co.  while we go through a day and a half of tutorials, tips, tricks and new techniques. We can't wait to spend Christmas in July with you!

Included in the registration is the instruction from all of our teachers; as well as a new pattern from Modern Blended Quilts! 

Required Supplies that are not included in your registration fee:

• Corner Pop III Ruler by Studio 180 Deb Tucker (Susan Madu will share ideas with you for how you can continue to use this ruler after our retreat for other patterns and projects). The instructions will only work with this ruler. There are no alternative cutting instructions available.
• Simply Modern Christmas Fabric requirements: 7 fat quarters of prints (must be non-directional), 5 fat quarters of prints (can be directional if you wish), Solid #1 needs 3/4 yard, Solid #2 needs 1/2 yard, Solid #3 needs a 2" x 22' scrap for the tree stems, binding fabric of a 1/2 yard, and backing fabric 4 1/4 yards
• Scraps of Christmas fabric to make a 4" x 6" postcard
• Drawstring Bag Supplies: 3 fat quarters of coordinating fabrics and 1 3/4 yards of ribbon or twill tape

You will need to have your sewing machine, cutting mat, and a 24" long quilting ruler and any other notions that you keep in your regular notions supply. You will need a device with a camera and a microphone with the ability to access Zoom. Join us in the fun of the west (Dragons Heart Quilt Shop) meets the East (Watergirl Quilt Co.) and make some new quilting friends with those joining us virtually!
